Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resort:

A block of rooms has been reserved for attendees at The 3rd World Candle Congress at Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resort (1700 Epcot Resorts Boulevard, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830) for $169 (plus sales tax & resort fee of 12.5%) per night single or double.  Rates are valid from Thursday, July 1 thru Monday, July 12.  Plan to bring your family, enjoy the 4th of July celebration and explore Disney World and all it has to offer.

Amenities

Delight in the best of the beach as you celebrate the refreshing allure of sand and sea at this waterfront getaway made up of two separate Resorts which share convention meeting space.  The Yacht Club, with its nautical theme, transports guests to the summertime Shingle Style hotels of Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket while the Beach Club is a more relaxed, pastel-toned edifice.  The 576 guest rooms are decorated to reflect a surf and sand sanctuary.

All guest rooms feature two queen-size beds or one king-size, a small refrigerator, private balcony, high-speed Internet access, telephone with separate data port, in-room safe, and more.  Guests have access to a several swimming pools (including a three-acre sandy bottom lagoon pool), four Disney championship golf courses, tennis courts, a volleyball court, marina with motorboat rental, and the Ship Shape Health Club, featuring a cardiovascular room, weight room with free weights and Cybex equipment, massage service, sauna and Eucalyptus steam room.

The hotel also offers WI-FI Internet access in the lobby and convention center common areas, valet parking, same day laundry service, a full-service business center, ATM, FedEx, Western Union, mail, and multiple merchandise locations.

Check-in and Check-out

Check-in is 3:00 PM and checkout is 11:00 AM.  Anyone checking out after 11:00 AM may incur late charges.  Special arrangements for late checkouts are based solely on availability.  Reservations need to be guaranteed by a major credit card with a deposit of one night’s room revenue plus applicable taxes.  Cancellation, without charge, of individual reservations must be made up to five (5) days prior to arrival.  Cancellations due to medical emergencies that can be verified will not incur a penalty.

Room reservations can be made by contacting the hotel directly at (407) 934-3372.  Reservation hours are 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM ET Monday-Friday and 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM ET Saturday-Sunday.  You must reference The 3rd World Candle Congress & Trade Show when making reservations.  The final cut-off date for room reservations is June 11 subject to availability.  If you require more than one room for your family, please specify you need two adjoining rooms (suites are not discounted).  You may also make reservations online at http://www.disneyurl.com/The3rdWorldCandleCongress.

NOTE: Early reservations are suggested because Disney facilities tend to book quickly due to summer vacations and the 4th of July holiday.  Additionally, Disney reserves the right to release rooms from the block if there are not enough reservations by a given date.  Don’t miss ensuring you have reservations – BOOK TODAY and if possible, no later than April 17th to guarantee your room.

Airlines

Disney’s Magical Express

Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resort offers FREE transportation for guests with confirmed hotel reservations to and from the airport aboard Disney's Magical Express.  Disney picks up guests and takes them from Orlando International Airport to the Resort while its “hands-free” luggage service delivers bags from the plane directly to a guest’s room.  Departing is also a breeze with in-hotel boarding pass service and return shuttle to the airport.  Reservations are required and should be made at least 30 days in advance.  For more information, call 1-407-827-6777 or go to http://disneyconventionears.disney.go.com/wdce/index?id=DMEPage.

Car Rental

Orlando International Airport is the largest car rental market in the world with most of the major car rental companies located on-airport, without the need for a shuttle bus to pick up a rental car.  The rental car companies are located in Terminal A and Terminal B on the Ground Transportation Level (Level 1).and include Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, L&M, National and Thrifty.  For more information, visit http://www.orlandoairports.net/transport/rental_cars.htm.

Taxi & Shuttle Service

Taxis and shuttle vans are conveniently located on the Ground Transportation Level (Level 1) on both the A and B sides of the main terminal.  Taxis may carry up to 9 passengers, and charge the same rate regardless of the number of passengers (approximately $47 – $60 one way).  Shuttle service is available thru Mears with van fares charged per person (approximately $20 one-way/$33 round trip).  Fares can be charged on American Express, MasterCard and Visa.  For more information, visit http://www.orlandoairports.net/transport/local_transport.htm.

Weather & Dress

Dress for all sessions is business casual – no suits or ties are required.  Collared shirts and slacks for men, blouses and slacks or skirts for women are appropriate.  Casual attire (shorts, slacks, T-shirts, sundresses) is appropriate for the Closing Night Beach Party.

Orlando, in the heart of the Sunshine State, has a subtropical climate and tends to be humid.  Daytime temperatures in July are in the low 90s, while nighttime temperatures are in the mid 70s.

REMINDER:  Meeting rooms are air conditioned so bring a light jacket or sweater to ward off a chill.
