Health and Safety Measures
NCA and our members look forward to getting back together in-person in Birmingham in October. Creating a healthy and COVID-appropriate environment for all attendees and staff is of utmost importance to NCA. We are monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic and are closely following public health guidelines in the state of Alabama and in the city of Birmingham to ensure we meet health and safety protocols.
To help with your planning, we wanted to share the following Q&As.
Q. Will NCA require attendees to wear masks?
A. At the present time, the Renaissance Ross Bridge Resort does not require guests to wear a mask in hotel indoor public areas or when moving around in outdoor areas, however we have the option and NCA will request that the Renaissance employees are masked during the Annual Conference. NCA does request that those who have not been fully vaccinated wear a mask to protect other attendees. NCA will not check vaccination status. Everyone will be on the honor system. PLEASE NOTE: This is a fluid situation, and mandates that do or don’t exist today may change by the time October rolls around.
Q. What is the hotel doing to keep us safe?
A. Providing a safer environment for guests and associates is a top priority. Consistent with the most recent CDC guidance, fully vaccinated guests are no longer required to wear face coverings or social distance in indoor or outdoor areas of the hotel, unless required by local law. The hotel asks that unvaccinated guests continue to wear face coverings and practice social distancing when they are in public spaces inside the hotel. As the situation continues to change on a daily basis, NCA will encourage any vaccinated members to also wear a mask when in public spaces, although it will not be required. NCA will provide masks at Registration.
