Sunset Review 2021

The Antidumping Duty (“AD”) Order on Petroleum Wax Candles from China is scheduled for its 5th Sunset Review this year, which will determine whether the Order should continue in effect or be revoked (i.e., sunset).  The entire U.S. industry benefits from the existing AD Order on Candles from China.  Please review the introductory cover letter from the National Candle Association (NCA) President Chris Rakyta, explaining this process. Your cooperation is essential to keep this Order effective.

Our industry has invested a tremendous effort over the years to gain and maintain this AD Order which continues to contribute to the existence and health of our industry. Now it is our duty, and to the benefit of all, that we do our utmost to preserve the continuation of the Order.  Therefore, please give this request your serious and timely attention.

All data that you submit to legal counsel Barnes & Thornburg (B&T) will be treated as confidential and will not be disclosed to other members of NCA or to other U.S. manufacturers of candles. Only the B&T Legal team and their economist will review the responses.

NCA held a presentation on Thursday, December 3rd, 2020. The presentation was recorded and is available for view. Also below are attachments for the PowerPoint presentation from the meeting, as well as the Sunset Review questionnaires.
